News: Transformers 5, The Hateful Eight & Bafta Rising Star

Have mercy on our souls… Everyone’s favourite arthouse director (yes, that is sarcasm!) Michael Bay has confirmed he’ll return to the Transformers franchise for a fifth instalment.

According to the man himself (but he’s said similar before…), this’ll be his last time at the helm of the robot smash-em-up money-printing series before passing on the reins to someone else.

The next Transformers film is scheduled to hit our screens next year.

As the cinema chain (who also own Picturehouse Cinemas) explained on their Twitter page, they have failed to come to an agreement with distributors Entertainment Film Distributors.

Independent cinema chain Curzon have also announced they will not be showing the movie.
