A sequel to Disney’s popular Amy Adams-starring Enchanted is back on the cards, and it’s even been given a name: Disenchanted. Despite not having a director in place for the eight instalment of the car-crazy franchise, actor/producer Vin Diesel has said he’s promised the studio one last trilogy of films. He recently stated on Facebook: ‘Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision… they have been like family… I promised the studio I would deliver one last trilogy to end the saga.’ (Source: Empire)

Thor’s third stand-alone outing, Ragnarok, looks like it’s snagged itself a director. Set for release in November 2017, Taika Waititi, probably best known for directing vampire documentary What We Do In The Shadows, is in talks to helm the next adventure of the hammer-swinging god.
