News: United Passions, Maleficent 2, Kick-Ass & Ghostbusters

The FIFA bankrolled United Passions, featuring Tim Roth as the controversial Sepp Blatter, has become the lowest-growing film in US history. Costing £17m to make,  Frederic IMG_0091Auburtin’s film made just $918 from 10 cinemas. (Source: Guardian)

Disney have begun work on Maleficent 2. The Angelina Jolie starring 2014 re-telling of Sleeping Beauty made a killing at the box office, and though the return of Jolie is yet to be confirmed, writer Linda Woolverton will once again pen the screenplay. (Source: Telegraph)

Matthew Vaughn has confirmed that he’s not finished with the Kick-Ass series just yet. Despite an underwhelming sequel (produced but not directed by Vaughn), plans are afoot for a Hit Girl and Big Daddy origin story prequel. (Source: Yahoo! Movies)
